On the other hand

Amidst all the pressures generated by Omicron and seasonal winter ailments combined with overstretched medical personnel and resources, there was some positive news this week.

According to a report from the OECD life expectancy in Israel is higher than the average in OECD countries.

Male life expectancy has risen in recent years and is about two years higher than the average among men in OECD countries (81 versus 78.3). Only seven countries have higher male life expectancies: Switzerland, Iceland, Sweden, Japan, Italy, Norway and Spain.

Females also live longer in Israel—to the age of 84.8 compared to the OECD average of 83.6. The country is ranked at No. 11.

At the same time, Israel has substantially fewer suicides per year than in other countries—six per 100,000 citizens compared to an average of 11.6.

The fertility rate in Israel is the highest in the OECD and stands at three births per woman, compared to an average of 1.6. In second place is Mexico with only 2.1 children per woman.

Finally, the infant mortality rate in Israel is lower than the average (before COVID) at 3.1 deaths per 1,000 live births, compared with an average of 4.2 among OECD countries.

NEVER FORGET

International Holocaust Remembrance Day has for most of the world been and gone. For Jews, it is however a daily presence especially for the dwindling numbers of survivors in Israel and elsewhere.

With the upsurge of hate not only against Jews but also against Israel, it is more vital than ever to listen to the experiences of survivors and pass their message on to the wider public.

REFUTING THE SLANDERERS

Amnesty International’s assault on the legitimacy of Israel has already unleashed the expected tsunami of hate and incitement.

Many international media outlets which have a history of publishing malicious headlines and tendentious reports wasted no time in rushing to dish up the latest lynch details.

Now is the time to fight back with the truth and make sure that the real facts are available.

This video was made five years ago and it demonstrates that those who produced the latest lies are not interested in the real facts.

THE ROBOTS ARE HERE

DHL opens the Middle East’s largest robotic centre.

Where? In Israel of course where innovation is the order of the day.

The most important sources of antiSemitism throughout history are the teachings of Christianity and Islam. The ignorant purveyors of hatred against Jews never admit to the sources of their views. It is also important to note that antiSemites are not interested in hard facts but only in their perverted ideology. Those who are antiSemitic only select facts that support their twisted ideology and intentionally ignore all that is contradictory to their views.
