Corie Haddock, the Labour Party candidate who stood against New Zealand Prime Minister John Key in the recent NZ election, has posted an antisemitic image on his Facebook page.

The post states that “There are only nine countries left in the world without a Rothschild Central Bank – Russia, China, Iceland, Cuba, Syria, Iran, Venezuela, North Korea, Hungary. Isn’t it funny that we are always at war with these countries?”

The message conveyed by Haddock’s post, of Jewish bankers fomenting wars, is straight out of the infamous forgery, the Protocols of the Elders of Zion. Such fabrications are used to incite hatred of Jews.

The image was posted by Haddock on 13 November.

Both Key and Haddock stood in the electorate of Helensville, centred around Auckland.

John Key, whose mother is Jewish, was subject to several incidents of antisemitic graffiti on his election posters, before the September 20 poll.

I just came across this through another link. This is totally unacceptable and shows such lack of education!!
    And, it is also dangerous.
I have withdrawn my membership from the Labour Party, effective immediately.

Well, bit of a relief he didn’t get in. What a cretin. Surely the Labour Party will now get rid of him.

Here is a comment from a Canadian. I am so sick of people like you, so I’ll take the opportunity and sink to your level. You and all your kind are sick bastards. It is a sad world we live in when people such as yourself use their political standing to spread hatred to those out there (such as yourself) who are willing to receive it. Makes you no better than all the other scoundrels who passed through this world. They did not succeed and neither will you.

Iceland. Oh you mean the Cod Wars Obviously. Hungary. Then it must be the goulash wars. What an absolute fool. Come on New Zealand, where is your garbage disposal?

  5. Lara says:

Oh, and of course, people-who-happen-to-be-Jews run the world and the banks but Haddock isn’t an antisemite, he’s just repeating a conspiracy that’s centuries old about “Jews run the world and the banks” that was believed by such infamous monsters as Hitler. Let me guess, he doesn’t think Jews run the world, he just thinks Rothschilds do. Keeping it classy, I see.

Labour clearly aren’t sufficiently screening the tinfoil hats in their party. I can’t bear to vote for National since their policies are too right-wing for my sensibilities… so I guess it’s time to move to Whangamomona and vote for a goat.

  6. Lindsay Fergusson says:

This is anti-Semitism at is worst. Also it is factually incorrect. no central bank in the world is controlled by or managed by the Rothschild’s. It is utter rubbish to make such a claim. If the Labour Party don’t throw this man out, they don’t deserve a single vote from any thinking New Zealander.
