Doesn’t the suffering of his victims warrant a harsher sentence? Doesn’t his abuse of a position of trust warrant a harsher sentence? Don’t the acts of sexual violence with which he tormented his under-age victims warrant a harsher sentence?

And shouldn’t those who helped him escape be held to account? Weren’t they, in fact, accessories to his crimes, knowing that he would continue? Did they not have a duty of care to victims in the Yeshiva and to future victims, no matter where David Kramer operated?

As long as ‘good’ people do nothing, evil will continue.

Manny Waks is a courageous, decent person who sets an example to all of us.
