Rabbi Shmueli Feldman joined the Coles team for a special prayer for the store, the customers and the Kosher Department.

Rabbi Feldman said: We applaud and welcome the establishment of the new Kosher sections in Coles Canberra Civic and Kaleen.

It is heartwarming to see Coles catering to the needs of our small but growing Jewish community in Canberra.

Keeping Kosher is a fundamental part of the Jewish religion. I pray that Coles reap only success from such initiatives and wish them much prosperity with their new stores for many years to come.”

A spokesperson for Coles told J-Wire: “Canberra’s growing Jewish community will now have greater choice when it comes to keeping Kosher thanks to the introduction of a kosher section at the new Coles Canberra Centre supermarket.

The new section includes a range of certified Kosher grocery products.”
