In light of tragic events involving a swelling population of migrants and refugees in Europe and the Middle East, the Jewish Coalition for Disaster Relief (JCDR) has acted to expand the scope and mandate of its Jewish Coalition for Syrian Refugees in Jordan to include refugees and migrants in Europe and the Middle East.

The Joint Distribution Committee (The Joint) convenes the Coalition with dozens of other Jewish groups, on the response to the growing refugee and migrant crisis.

“As horrific images from this crisis flood the news, social media, and our in boxes, we have been moved to action, reminded of Jewish tradition’s deep value for a single life in crisis. As we have learned from our decades of work with refugees and displaced people, the humanitarian toll and needs will be massive and we must respond now,” said Alan H. Gill, CEO of the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (JDC), the lead convener of the Jewish Coalition for Disaster Relief.

The Coalition — comprising a now growing group of Jewish organizations — previously aided thousands of Syrian refugees through more than $500,000 in grants to humanitarian groups operating in Jordan and its efforts led to the founding of the MutliFaith Alliance for Syrian Refugees, an interfaith movement that advocates for the needs of Syrian refugee populations.

The Joint’s Australian arm is participating in raising funds to assist the refugees.

First of all, there is no such place as Palestine. That entity disappeared back in 1947, when the Arab armies invaded the newly created State of Israel and lost their war. Secondly, the so called Syrian refugees are none other than Arab refugees, and only Arab countries should take them in en masse. The reality is that these Arab Nations also do not want to take these people in, so why should Israel stick its neck out to try and help them? Why have another Fifth Column Group in your country when clearly they will have trouble integrating with the rest of the population? Other solutions need to be addressed outside of Israel proper.

This boggles the mind!. The refugee problem started with 750,000 expelled to places like Syria in 1947, who have now become “Syrian” refugees being kicked out of their refugee camps in Damascus and elsewhere. Give them the “Right of Return” to Palestine and you solve a major part of the present problem. Peace.

Actually Sam, the refugee problem was solved when Israel took in Jews that the war-time mohammedan allies of Hitler robbed then kicked out of their regimes. The Arabs started the war in defiance of the same UNGA resolutions whose perverse interpretations they want Israel to accept. There was an exchange of populations and again, the Jews won.

But apart from the history lesson you missed learning, let’s get back to the Syrian “refugees”. Only some of those are descendants of the Arabs from the British mandate. Those descendants should have been made citizens of Syria, Lebanon etc, generations ago. Many of the “refugees are economic invaders of Europe and are citizens of Syria, Iraq and even Afghanistan and have nothing to do with the Arabs who were told to leave by the Arab high command.

Israel has no responsibility to enemy aliens apart from giving them humanitarian aid to help them on their way. The filthy rich Gulf states have the space and the money to to care for their co-religionists and have admitted not one, NOT ONE!!!. Typical of mohammedan compassion and solidarity.

Don’t you dare criticise the nation state of the Jewish people. Its the only decent polity in the region.
