“If you can’t stand the heat, get out of the oven”
A standup comedian responded to a Jewish woman’s complaint about his material using gas chambers by telling her “if you can’t stand the heat get out of the oven.”

The Melbourne’s Herald Sun has reported that Isaac Butterfield stated “imagine the joy of people when they heard the Jews were sent to the gas chambers” during his performance at the Melbourne Comedy Festival.
A Jewish member of the audience according to the Herald Sun sent an email to the comedian writing “Sitting there hearing about Jews being gassed, eight million perished including children, watching family members being gassed or tortured or shot, is not remotely funny.”
He responded: “If you can’t stand the heat, get out of the oven.”
Anti-Defamation Commission chairman Dvir Abramovich told J-Wire: “It’s never OK to spew such hate, and Isaac Butterfield should be ashamed
for his hideous remarks that crossed all lines and which trampled on the
memory of the dead.
There are certain things that should never be said, and we cannot believe that such a repugnant and morally indefensible statement
was uttered as part of a major celebration of art in our city.
It is beyond shocking to exploit the extermination of six million Jews in the Holocaust to generate despicable jokes. When you consider that the corpses of those
killed with the poison gas were often cremated in ovens, Mr Butterfield’s
email response of “get out of the oven” is disturbing and vicious.
We call on him to immediately apologise, and to meet with Holocaust survivors who
will tell him their stories of suffering and loss. We would also urge the
organisers of the Melbourne Comedy Festival and other venues to reflect on
whether this performer should be given a platform in the future.”

So typical of what the Comedy Festival has degenerated into. One would be hard pressed to find one act that doesn’t rely on foul language, brainless mockery of conservative values, sexual innuendo, and what would be considered hate speech if it wasn’t being spewed by leftie pseudo ‘comedians’.
Thanks article is full of lies, Isaac never said the quote about people being happy about Jews being gassed. The actual joke was about vegans. He did say the get out of the oven quote but he later apologized for it. Watch his video entitled “I’m sorry…” On YouTube to see the truth.
