Thereby the “international community” endorsed the legitimacy of the notion of the reconstituted Jewish nation-state.
The enemy (bot Middle Eastern and Western) seize any excuse to wage war against Israel.
Some Jews, even in Israel, still tremble at the notion of Jews asserting their rights.
Given our history, that’s understandable, but not particularly noble.
