Patinkin wrote on his Facebook: “Israel’s annexation of the West Bank is a disaster for Israelis and Palestinians,” Patinkin wrote on Facebook late Monday. “It threatens Palestinian rights and formalizes an unjust and unequal system. We’ve got to do everything we can to stop it. That’s why I’ve lent my voice to this video.”

The actor, who played Saul Berenson in Homeland once joked he would like to be Israel’s prime minister as he thought he is capable to make the dream of peace a reality.

He is a long-term advocate for progressive reforms in Israel.

I sent Mandy a tweet in the following terms:
“Not “annexation of West Bank” but restoration – legally – of Jewish sovereignty in the heartland of the Jewish People after 3000 years. Read about it and lend your voice to celebrating this modern day miracle you have been chosen to witness come true.”
Mandy has been too busy to reply so far.
