Lovely to hear about the great cup win for Moriah College so thanks for posting that Victor. Sorry I only found this report a few years after the event. I was coach of the team that won in 1990 as Victor Grynberg recalls that epic night. His son Adam did indeed give us a lifeline in that thrilling match with only seconds remaining. Ilan Sobel was great in the penalty shootout too. It was a special team with Rodney Rosmarin, Simon Briggs, Claude Sandler, Eitan Rubinstein, Adam Grynberg just some of the stars. Quite an amazing coincidence we faced Barker College in both finals 25 years apart.
It would be good to hear how some of those guys are if this reply reaches any.

Great result BUT BOT THE FIRST TIME.
Moriah won the trophy in 1990,beating Barker college from memory at an oval in Gladesville.
the school was considerably smaller then, but 250-300 supporters turned up for what was to become an unforgettable night. Moriah was down 1-0 most of the match.
With less than a minute to go right back Adam Grynberg came up for a corner, our last opportunity to equalize. Somehow he got the ball into the back of the net despite a packed defence.
in what was the most thrilling penalty shootout, goalie Ilan Sobel made some brilliant saves and Moriah had won.
This was my 16th year already as a Moriah parent, but nobody had ever experienced the joy, exhilaration and camaraderie we shared when we all ran onto the oval.
