Hamas said in a statement that it “congratulates the Taliban movement and its courageous leadership on this victory, which was the culmination of its long struggle over the past 20 years,” reported AFP.

Its officials wished “the Afghan Muslim people and its leadership success in achieving unity, stability and prosperity.”

They added it proves that “the resistance of the peoples—foremost of which is our struggling Palestinian people—is destined for victory.”

The Taliban took over the country’s capital of Kabul on Sunday, entering the presidential palace and declaring victory over the United States, its allies and related “infidels.”

Hamas and Taliban are in a sense polar opposites politically. But they are united of course in their hatred of Israel and the West.

Similarly the far Left who support “Palestine from the river to the sea” also will not oppose Islamism despite its reactionary interpretation of Sharia law, repression of women, etc. because the aim of the far Left is the overthrow of Judeo-Christian values and of course Israel and the Jewish nation.

Hold tight, it won’t be long before the loony left has an ideological meltdown.

USA and allies, including Australia, were politically hopeless in Afghanistan as they were in Iraq and South Vietnam 50 years ago. The areas were the USA have had success is bullying small countries like Panama and the commonwealth country Grenada in recent decades.
