					<description><![CDATA[Thank you for your quite profound discussion on being religious, or not. I think perhaps becoming religious, in the context of your comments, can be a very long journey, and I also think that to be truly religious is not a state reached by arriving at a fixed point (through continued and unquestioning practice)and not varying from it. Paradoxically, I believe that to do the latter means in real terms to veer away from G-d rather than become closer to G-d, because one stops thinking and striving and living life more holistically, and, in fact, approaches G-d by rote. Perhaps a more &#039;stumbling&#039; and less sure approach, a reaching for and communicating with G-d, albeit at a distance from a very inner part of us that prompts it, is what informs those attending Rosh HaShanah and Yom Kippur services who don&#039;t normally attend synagogue throughout the year.
