It’s great to know that at least the gatekeeping is starting to recede slowly. Just as I was again considering conversion recently (and wondering why I still hadn’t) – I came across the Melbourne Beth Din’s requirements for the application process alone, and those fees are so exorbitant. Then I remembered why I haven’t been able to start the process yet.

I’ve been priced out of Judaism, but there’s still hope.
