Who would expect them to turn the other cheek?
It reminds me of something I once read many years ago.
In part:

It is not the will of God that we who believe in Him should be cowards.
There comes a time when evil men who have smitten you on both cheeks, will demand of you your very soul, take away your liberty, and place you in shackles.

“If it is true that evil is evil, God hates it and there’s a moral law fixed in what God is in Himself, then we should be the first into the field against what is wrong”.
