It seems that the begrudged "intrusion" of Otzma Yehudit into the mainstream Israeli political mishpucha is all but a welcome target for the more established contenders to flex their morals, their electoral virtues and, why not, a bit of chest punching hysteria....How else would anyone imagine an Israeli election !!!
There are variable quantums of Otzma in each political entity seeking credibility and power, while the "Yehudit" bit would exclude, of course the non-Jewish groups.
Considering that not long ago anything alluding to a Kahane flavour would have been banned altogether in a most unlikely politica local amalgam, the current inroads, the eventual acceptance of this radical, excessively radical variety is not at all accidental.
From stalemates to veritable failures, the very local, very deeply felt ( right into Israel proper ) palestinian issues, required quite objectively, a reassessment of tactics and strategies. It seemed that the late, unfortunate Meir Kahane was not all that wrong, after all.
It needed to be concluded that, the seemingly impossible to solve palestinian problems are not the Kahanite's type of approach's fault, but, quite to the contrary, to some tangible extent, their approaches have began to gain favour with not so few Israeli politicians of the "tachles" variety.
The very fact that someone of Bennet's stature pins his reputation on refuting them, is in itself proof that the Kahanites have arrived in Israel to roost ...
Actually, they have been there all along, to mine, quite a necessary, veritable Jewish "detail" of our neshama...
