]]> https://www.jwire.com.au/faulty-follies/#comment-638446 Fri, 21 Nov 2025 07:58:51 +0000 https://www.jwire.com.au/?p=174476#comment-638446 A couple of weeks ago the Head On photographic group awarded first prize in their annual competition to a photograph of a large group of Muslims sitting beside a damaged mosque in northern Gaza with the caption FAITH AMIDST GENOCIDE and a comment below the photo explaining the mosque was hit by an Israeli airstrike.
Head On is run by a Jewish man. The competition received entries world wide , attracted a huge prize and is displayed in galleries around Sydney and on the Bondi water front for several weeks. When I challenged the leader, particularly about the caption, he replied to the effect that they did not look at religious or political aspects, nor would they query written info from the photographers.
I believe this is full on antisemitism and should be challenged and the public made aware.
