28-yr-old Aron Ezriel Kestecher had not been seen for several days and his body was discovered by a concerned friend.

Keschester was alleged to have committed sex abuse against minors.

Rabbi Meir Shlomo Kluwgant told J-Wire that he had attended the scene.

Rabbi Kluwgant said: “I spent most of my afternoon and evening standing and saying Tehilim. I provided a measure of support and comfort to his family members and his close friends to this most tragic of events, as well as community members.

The victim was a very special young man who in his youth spent many a Shabbos meal at my home with friends and family.

He was a kind person with very special attributes, but he was also deeply troubled.

When something like this happens, the entire community needs to take a good long hard look  at itself.

There are many children and young adults on the fringe who fall and become victim to their circumstances,

The family is broken, his friends are devastated, the chapter of tehilim (Psalm 20) we said as we stood by his body in the orange plastic bag before it was carted off, was most probably among the most difficult of prayers I have ever said.

‘It is alright to cry’ I said to his friends; but I was talking to myself.

Melbourne Jewish Community – again we (all of us) need to take a good long hard look at ourselves and see what we can do to ensure that this kind of tragedy never ever happens again.”

Kestecher had been a Chabad-Lubavitch youth leader.

The coroner is yet to deliver his findings.

Let’s hope someone who knew never burdened him with “they would take care of it” that has proven to be the case many times elsewhere….
My sincere condolences to to his family.
