Deputy chair of the NSW Parliamentary friends of Israel and Labor Israel Action Committee patron Walt Secord says he completely disagreed with UK Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn and his views on recognising Palestine.

Secord told J-Wire: “The Australian Labor Party has a firm position in favour of  a two-state solution and I do not support unilaterally recognising Palestine.

Unilateral recognition of Palestine simply rewards the Palestinian leadership for working against peace and democracy.

If a Corbyn approach is proposed here, I would fight it every step of the way.

There are many impediments to the recognition of Palestine – the majority of which have been placed there by the Palestinian political leadership themselves.

Peace can only be achieved with an even-handed approach and the Corbyn approach completely ignores this.”

Walt Secord is the deputy leader of the NSW Opposition.

I told you above NSW Labor was dysfunctional. The former state leader Foley is now gone in disgrace.

Does UK Labour really care what dysfunctional NSW Labor thinks?
