Rabbi Gutnick welcomed Rabbi Mirvis saying “The Australian Rabbinate has always had a close and warm relationship with the Chief Rabbi Of the Commonwealth and it was with extreme pleasure that the local Victorian Rabbinate were able to form a bond with the incumbent Chief Rabbi on his first pastoral tour of our country. Chief Rabbi Mirvis brings his own style of warmth and vast experience to his position and we greatly appreciated his presence and message to us.”

Following an engaging meeting, Rabbi Mirvis stated that “I am deeply impressed with the outstanding spiritual leadership that is given to the communities of Melbourne by our Rabbis here.”
