Sixteen million Jews world wide threatened with having their one Jewish state with a population of 6.25 million Jews eliminated.at the urging of 57 Islamic States is apparently in Carr's view not worth fighting for.

Carr obviously was prepared to denigrate and delegitimise the Jewish claim to appease those Islamic nations who were lobbying him - abandoning the principles laid down by former Labor foreign minister Dr Evatt who chaired the United Nations Special Committee on Palestine that in 1947 recommended the partition of what was left of Palestine (after 78% known as. Transjordan was granted independence in 1946) into a Jewish State and another second Arab State.

There was no mention then of a "Palestinian State". Did this ever cross Carr's mind?

Carr must have hated being reminded that the Arabs rejected the Evatt committee recommendation and sent seven Arab armies into Palestine to drive the Jews into the sea.

Carr must have squirmed when any Jews dared to tell him that the Arabs had rejected proposal after proposal by the Jews to bury the hatchet starting back in 1922 and did nothing to create a state in the West Bank and Gaza between 1948-1967after all the Jews living there had been expelled.

He made an historic appearance on the steps of the Lakemba mosque seeking to unilaterally change labor party policy that had remained steadfastly firm to the principles of Dr Evatt.

Carr’s conduct is well documented in the following series of articles written by me and published on various news sites on the Internet – including Jwire

Read them and the Jew hating comments my articles provoked at your leisure at:

Palestine: Rudd And Carr tightlipped on anti-Jewish policy

Is Carr’s Lakemba Mosque declaration policy on the run?
International – 19/08/2013 – 17 comments
Carr sideswipes Jews on Palestine
International – 14/08/2013 – 32 comments

My articles were critical of Carr trying to fit Prime Minister Rudd and Labor with an anti-Jewish policy made on the run at the Lakemba mosque – with Rudd refusing to confirm it was indeed his view and Labor policy.

Carr had ample opportunities to publicly deny my claims but never raised even a whimper.

Carr is obviously very bitter at being out of a job for which he must share the blame as a result of his extraordinary attempt to subvert Labor Party policy

Blaming his retirement on the Israel lobby Is an easy cop out and a sure success to gaining publicity for his book.

Maybe he should reflect that it was the Australian voters that rejected his anti - Israel stance. Had he listened to the Israeli lobby he might still be enjoying the trappings and perks that foreign ministers enjoy.

He succumbed to the powerful Islamic lobby.

That was certainly his prerogative - but it has resulted in his being consigned to the diplomatic graveyard that has claimed foreign ministers around the world who have ignored the international verdicts of the League of Nations and the United Nations at their peril.

Well written Mr Jack Chrapot.
Bob Car was never a friend to anyone, he masquerades his closeness to others via pretence. His aloofness and his supper grin is the give away. I have met him twice; once at the Sydney Jewish Museum at a book launch. He was not able to relate to ordinary people. The second time it was at the Coogee promenade on his walk with his wife. When I stopped him to exchange a few words, he brushed me aside and walked on. I have never managed to warm-up to this man. Now, his through character and personality is for all to see.

well, lots of people fought while hungry and thirsty---the crew at Mila 18, the hold outs at Masada, Treblinka and the guys at the ovens all held forth. then that crew back in the woods raising all manner of mischief...then we can think about the folks on the Amistad, along with those on over 400 other voyages while crossing the Atlantic on slave ships--they HAD to be hungry----not to mention Denmark Vesey, Gabriel Prosser and Queen Nanny over in Jamaica.....we cannot forget the Irish who fought Cornwall, and for their trouble, sailed to Australia and the States in first class cabins.....

It seems like hunger and desperation and desire for freedom are almost prerequisites for even having a good party.....

Well, actually, when Bob talks about the Israel lobby he lies whether he is in his tailored suit or his birthday suit. He seems to have put the existence of Jews for Palestine, the NIF and the AJDS and characters like Slezak and Loewnstein down the memory hole.

Much more concerning is that Carr gives legitimacy to letter writers like one Robert Mann who called for details on the lobby, its effects on Australian government policy - implying that anyone who is an Israel supporter is thus an Israel firster and consequently disloyal to Australia - and that that lobby manipulates politicians behind the scenes. This echoes the theme of the Protocols of the Elders of Zion.

The other matter of concern is the spineless response of our local leaders. That Curr should have been roundly and publicly denounced. Instead we have some half humorous swipes at him. Our leadership seems to think that ignoring the impact of the insinuations - denying it oxygen, if you wish - will minimise their impact.
