Brocha for a plane
Rabbi Dovid Slavin has blessed a brand new type of air ambulance in Sydney…making a shehechiyonu over the gleaming red fuselage.

Chief Chaplain Paul McFarlane, Chaplain Rabbi Dovid Slavin, CEO NSW Ambulance Mick Willis, Tweed and Nancy Holman
The aircraft has been named after fabled air aviatrix Nancy Bird-Walton sharing the name with A380 in the Qantas fleet. Her daughter Tweed and grand-daughter Nancy attended the ceremony.
Rabbi Slavin told J-Wire: “This is the first time I have blessed an air ambulance. Given that this wonderful service brings hope to those who make use of its capabilities, I felt the shehecheyonu was appropriate.”
Would have been more meaningful if Rabbi Slavin had also snipped one inch off the tailpipe!!
