Orange, Lithgow and Bathurst will be exposed to a range of presentations on Jewish issues, Israel, Gaza and the Holocaust next week when the NSW Jewish Board of Deputies undertakes its annual bridge-building tour to regional New South Wales.

Vic Alhadeff

A broad cross-section of religious organisations, high schools, service clubs, local government leaders and media outlets will receive presentations variously from Board chief executive officer Vic Alhadeff, education manager Suzanne Green and NGO manager Lynda Ben-Menashe. The Board’s regional tours have taken it to centres ranging from Albury-Wodonga to Wagga Wagga, Byron Bay to Cootamundra, Mudgee to Forbes. “Regional NSW is a vital area of the state and it is imperative that we get our message out there,” Alhadeff said. “It’s all about generating understanding and building bridges.”

  1. Anyone ‘out bush’, or with contacts in these regional centres, wld do well to recommend these talks widely, as they are so important to the wider community. This a powerhouse trio and tour.
I had the pleasure of accompanying NSWJBD CEO Vic on a Far Nth Qld ‘bridge-building tour’ on behalf of QJBD nearly two years ago, and it was simply superb in content, planning, knowledge, depth and breadth of groups spoken to and of places visited. Kol hakavod on this initiative.
