I was saddened by Mr. Pollock’s comments about feeling unwelcome and discriminated against in synagogue. One would hope that there are many welcoming and open congregations in Australia and that attitudes have changed over the past 36 years. Certainly our (Masorti/Conservative) congregation in Ontario is welcoming to a diverse population, including GLBT members, and they are very valued.
