National Marketing and Student Liaison Officer wanted for the Sydney Office of the Australian Friends of the Hebrew University (AUSTFHU) – Part-Time Permanent Role with the flexibility of hours as the role requires occasional after-hours events and international zoom meetings.

The role includes responsibility for the two core missions of the organisation-

  • To promote the name and academic and research excellence of the Hebrew University in Australia.
  • To encourage and assist Australian students wishing to study at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

Key Responsibilities of the Role:

         Marketing:

  • To manage the AUSTFHU website and social media, including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and Twitter. This includes regular updates and link-backs to the website in order to encourage more traffic to the site
  • To liaise with media updating them latest advancements made by HUJI
  • To constantly seek opportunities for promotion of the Hebrew University
  • Creating opportunities to highlight the important work done at the Hebrew Universities –reaching out to Community Partners (particularly with visiting guests and Academics)
  • To assist with planning and organising events and develop promotional/marketing materialsand “giveaways” as well as general support as required. Attend events as part of the

    AUSTFHU team and assist with guest welcome, etc.

  • To produce and disseminate regular email newsletters using Mailchimp/Campaign Monitor
  • To design and produce AUSTFHU advertisementsStudent Affairs:
  • To promote generally the Hebrew University’s international programs within the Australian student community via universities, the ZFA, AUJS and other channels across Australia through both conventional (print), and social media and attendance at events and Fairs
  • To liaise with past, present and future Australian students at the Hebrew University and to facilitate the growth of a strong alumni network
  • To liaise with the Hebrew University and the Rothberg International School regarding all processes involved in a student application and to ensure open communication between the University and the AUSTFHU
  • To manage the scholarship funds and evaluate applications for assistance

  • Strong creative design and writing skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and on multiple tasks at once but also a team player
  • Experience using CRM database software
  • Experience with social media scheduling (eg. Creator Studio, Link tree)
  • Experience using Mailchimp, WordPress & Canva/Adobe
  • Ability to run reports and mail merger
  • High level of organisation
  • Math skills transferrable on excel
