Your understanding of international law is simply wrong.

Under international law the Jewish people were given the right to reconstitute the Jewish National Home in the West Bank and Gaza pursuant to articles 6 and 25 of the League of Nations 1922 Mandate for Palestine – which rights remain vested in the Jewish people until today under article 80 of the United Nations Charter.

Furthermore Israel is not required under Security Council Resolution 242 to withdraw from all of the territory it conquered in 1967. It has already withdrawn from over 90% of that territory – Sinai – following execution of the
the 1979 Israel-Egypt Peace Treaty.

Israel also unilaterally disengaged from Gaza in 2005 – receiving tens of thousands of rockets and missiles fired indiscriminately from Gaza into Israeli population centres as a thank you gift for the last 20 years

As to the remaining 10% occupied by Israel in 1967 – the West Bank and Gaza – the PLO did not claim sovereignty in these territories at the end of the Six Day War in 1967: See article 24 of the 1964 PLO Charter.

I agree that the world should be governed by the rule of law. The current problem is that it is not – as the United Nations continues to act illegally in breach of article 80 of its own Charter.

The sooner the UN starts to act in accordance with article 80 – the sooner the resolution of an unresolved conflict that began over 100 years ago becomes a possibility.
