Choosing to open the discussion in the run up to a closely contested by-election was an ill conceived idea, the Prime Minister I would assume regrets his timing.
The Jewish Community was caught to some degree in the cross-hairs.
History should teach us that lurking in the shadows are anti semites who are ever ready to take advantage of such opportunities.
Australia by and large is a fair and balanced community, consequently this ugliness should been balanced against the excellent relations we enjoy with the vast majority of citizens in our country.
