An unwelcome sight in Maroubra
A Jewish mother strolling with her newly-born baby in the centre of the Sydney suburb of Maroubra was shocked by the sight of a woman sitting on a bench sporting a swastika painted on her face.
Maroubra is home to a large Jewish community
The mother called the police and The Executive Council of Australian Jewry. The police told her the woman is known to them and has issues.
The ECAJ reported the matter to CSG who are also aware of the situation.
The woman has been spotted several times in the area publicly displaying the swastika,
J-Wire understands that authorities are aware of her issues.
Maroubra Synagogue’s Rabbi Yossi Friedman told J-Wire that he is unaware of the woman’s activities.
There is no suggestion that there is a neo-Nazi group in the suburb.
It is back to front and perhaps is an Asian version. China. Japan, India use this symbol and it also appeared on red Indian (native American) tepees. Hitler did not have sole use of this primitive symbol used by many races for hundreds, perhaps thousands of years. I saw a Japanese key ring tag in Tokyo in 1985 which had a swastika on it.
