Several British Jewish groups expressed solidarity with the U.K.’s Muslim community following an attack outside London’s Finsbury Park Mosque Monday, where a van ploughed into a crowd of Muslim worshipers as they left prayer services just after midnight.

One man was killed and 10 were wounded in the attack, which British authorities are investigating as a potential terrorist incident.

“We condemn this attack and its attempt to escalate tensions in the U.K. and we stand firmly besides our Muslim brothers and sisters in the aftermath of this attack,” said European Jewish Congress President Dr. Moshe Kantor.

“Our heartfelt sympathy, thoughts and prayers are with the victims,” the president of the Board of Deputies of British Jews, Jonathan Arkush, said in a statement.

The U.K.’s Jewish Leadership Council and Jewish security organization Community Security Trust (CST) also condemned the attack and issued condolences.

Monday’s incident follows three Islamic terror attacks in the U.K. this year.

In early June, seven people were killed and 50 were injured in London, when Islamic State terrorists drove a van into crowds of pedestrians, before carrying out a stabbing rampage.

The Islamic State also claimed responsibility for the May 22 suicide bombing at the Ariana Grande concert at the Manchester Arena, which killed 22 people and injured 59.

In March, a British convert to Islam rammed into pedestrians on London’s Westminster Bridge, killing four, and then fatally stabbing a policeman.

World Jewish Congress President Ronald S. Lauder harshly condemned the “abhorrent and vicious” terror attack that left one person dead and at least 10 wounded outside a London mosque before dawn, the third terror attack in the United Kingdom in less than a month.

“On behalf of the World Jewish Congress, I condemn the abhorrent and vicious attack carried out against innocent people gathered to worship during the holy month of Ramadan. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families, and we stand together with the people of London in confronting another horrible act of terror.

“Hatred and acts of violence are running rampant around the world, and we are living in a frightening reality in which none of us is immune to terror. We must stand together to defend the critical values of tolerance and freedom that make our society strong, and do everything in our power to fight this scourge of terrorism. Our way of life is under attack, but we must not surrender to the intimidation of terror. We must not let these terrorists win,” Lauder said.

Jonathan Arkush, President of the Board of Deputies of British Jews, issued a statement of condemnation shortly after the attack occurred. “All good people must stand together and join in rejecting hatred and violence from wherever it comes. The way forward is to strengthen the moderate majority and repudiate and marginalize extremism of every type,” Arkush said, adding: “Hatred of people because of their religion has no place in our society.”

Perhaps these Jewish communal representatives can offer their services to the Muslim community as security guards ?

The way he expressed himself may be crude—but the sentiments and message is real and pertinent.

Note the contrast between how quick as a flash the Islamic community could condemn this (copycat from islamists )murder.
But they could not do the same against their own islamists–atleast very weakly here and there.
    Waleed Aly——are you listening?

Furthermore in my experince(only0 I have found English Jewry in general–weak kneed and afraid to say “Boo” .They have chosen to try and be more English than the English–and have accepted to be pushed around.

ow different to us in Australia, and those in USA!!
