You are absolutely right, Isi Leibler. I'm sorry to have come to this article so late, as you might not see my response. I have been advocating from Australia exactly what you are suggesting. It is the time to create a vehicle through which swift, assertive responses are made from Jewish spokespeople everywhere, countermanding the dangerous ballooning of the anti-Israel/Jewish views propagated by pro-Palestinian supporters, academics, the media, some churches, some politicians et al. The kinds of polite, circumspect responses meted out by our Jewish organisations' leaders here are completely ineffectual, and not only attract no attention, but invite no respect. One of the biggest problems you highlight is the constant, and highly focussed, use of anti-Semitic Jews in Israel and the Diaspora, who validate for the public the assertions of those who use them for that purpose.
It's a toxic mix. Makes my heart bleed while my head turns to finely honed steel. (Please excuse the metaphors, however sometimes metaphors can be used effectively to infer the severity, magnificence or poignancy of a situation.)
