A memorial to the Jewish children who were murdered in the Holocaust is now being exhibited in Auckland.

The memorial of 1.5 million buttons representing the victims was originally created in the Moriah school in Wellington.
Beside the memorial an exhibition of photos of some of those children who were killed, who have family connections to New Zealanders here and now form a part of the story.

In her message to the community, Prime Minister Jacinta Hardern says “Anne Frank made a powerful statement in her diary when she wrote “How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world.”
