About 6 months ago, 3½ Zion Amit from Lod was diagnosed with leukemia and has now met Yuval HaMebulbal the star of the children’s TV show who put a smile on her face.

She has been undergoing medical treatment since diagnosed. In the past few weeks, her condition has improved as she is in the process of recovery returning to kindergarten last month. During the intense medical treatments she endured at such a young age, Yuval HaMebulbal, star of a children’s show, succeeded to put a smile on her face when she watched his show on TV or on the hospital computer.

“She could be weak and in pain, and only when she watched Yuval Hamebulbal would she smile and really laugh,” said Shira, Zion’s mother.

When Shira heard about MDA’s Wish Ambulance, she thought that this could be the way to make her daughter’s dream come true by meeting her favourite TV star.

During Chol Hamoed, MDA’s wish ambulance picked Zion up along with her mother from their house in Lod and drove to the house of Yuval ShemTov, also known as Yuval HaMebulbal.

Zion arrived to meet Yuval, happy and excited, and he received her with hugs, music and a lot of love. Zion was unable to stop laughing and was happy to meet her favourite TV star and get a private performance.

“I had a lot of fun meeting Yuval,” Zion said.”I am happy the wish ambulance took me and made my wish come true. My next wish is to be a princess, and I hope to make that come true too.”

Guy, Zion’s father, told MDA: “It was exciting and made us happy seeing Zion meet the idol who helped her through her difficult time. She was radiant, excited and full of joy. I thank MDA’s Wish Ambulance and hope they continue to fulfil the wishes of other children and make them this happy.”

Yuval ShemTov (Yuval HaMebulbal) said: “Meeting Zion reminds me of my real mission, and why I do what I do. The biggest satisfaction at the end of the day is seeing that the songs and the content that I create do something good. It is really amazing seeing it right in front of your eyes.”

Yonat Daskal Dagan, Head of MDA’s wish ambulance added: “When we asked Zion what wish she wanted to fulfil, she did not hesitate. It was clear to her that she wanted to meet the children’s star that brought her many moments of happiness and laughter during the difficult time she endured, face to face. Yuval immediately answered our request and happily fulfilled the charming Zion’s wish. The smile that never left Zion’s face undoubtedly made everything worth it, for all of us. We are so grateful to have the ability to bring joy to a child who is in such a difficult situation.”
