Young Limmud launches new kids’ destination
Sydney’s Young Limmud will offer a special program jam-packed with activities for kids.
For Years K-6, art and craft, krava maga and food making classes will be offered as well as drama workshops, games and tasty kosher food.
The highlight of the program is a collective song-making workshop, presented by Simon Jankelson of The Human Sound Project. He uses his experiences as a writer and musician to guide groups through the process of creating a song, using vocal sounds and body movements
Organisers of Yom Limmud have sent this message to Sydney’s parents: “Not only do you get to enjoy an enriching day full of stimulating ideas and socialising at Yom Limmud Sydney, but your kids get to experience a great day too – meeting other kids from across the community and trying lots of fun activities.”
Run by dedicated volunteers and presenters, Young Limmud will ensure children are kept entertained so parents can relax and enjoy the amazing Yom Limmud Sydney festival, which this year takes place at a new venue, the Central Lecture Block at the UNSW.
Conveniently located next door, Young Limmud will look after the kids from 9am-5pm and be split into two groups: Years K-2 and Years 3-6. Older kids will be treated to informative and fun sessions by international presenters while kids enjoy a range of fun activities.

The Young Limmud spokesperson told J-Wire: “Tickets for the littlies are $25 each or $20 if it’s their first time. Or the community can take advantage of the family pass for nuclear families at a heavily discounted $205 – a real metziah!”
