I-Society celebrated its launch as the new Young Adult Division of the Zionist Council with a night of Israel Inspired Indulgence.

IMG_0437Around 70 people in their 20s attended the event which was held at Bar 34 in Bondi. Guests were treated to a spread of Middle-Eastern delicacies such as rugelach, burekas, and falafel and a Machane Yehuda style pick-n-mix with dates, nuts, Israeli chocolates & lollies and halva.

The theme continued behind the bar with the bartenders offering Israeli Goldstar beer, and cocktails based on the flavours of Israel such as pomegranate, mint, rosewater and the popular Israeli chocolate milk – Shoko B’Sakit.

IMG_0396Those that wanted to could get to know each-other or catch up with friends over a game of Shesh Besh or Rummikub. But by far, the highlight of the night was the live music performed by Dana Gilden and Daniel Szabo who wowed the crowd with their powerful performance on vocals and guitar.

I-Society are looking forward to their next event coming up on 1st October to celebrate Sukkot. I-Society will be running events and programs throughout the year to engage 18-25 year olds in all things Israel whether it be through Israeli food, film, music, politics, language and much more. Find them on Facebook to be kept in the loop at www.facebook.com/ISocietyNSW or email I-Society at youngadults@zionistcouncil.com.au.
