The attack on Thursday night, when a truck plowed into a crowd of people gathered for Bastille Day celebrations.  “On behalf of world Jewry, I condemn this attack and extend my deepest condolences to the victims and to the people of France, who have sadly become so intimately familiar with the tragedy of terrorism.”

“The heinous attack carried out against scores of innocent people in Nice tonight was nothing short of an act of war and the world must treat it as such,” Lauder said. “We cannot allow this horrific reality to continue. The international community must unite and do everything in its power to eliminate and rip this terrorism from its roots, to free us from this prison of fear we have become trapped in.”

“These murderers have proven once again that nothing to them is sacred. All over the world, from Tel Aviv to Istanbul, Brussels to Orlando, Paris and now Nice, people are growing more and more fearful, terrified that they will be killed for something as simple as leaving their homes,” said Lauder. “Those killed today were celebrating the very values of liberty and freedom so repugnant to these radical terrorists and their enablers.  We must not let the terrorists win. We must reclaim our right to live our lives freely and in peace.”

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said: “Israel condemns in the strongest terms last night’s horrific attack in Nice.

We are again reminded that terrorism can strike anywhere and must be fought everywhere.

Israelis stand united with the people of France today. We join you in mourning those who were killed and wish a speedy recovery to the wounded.

Israel is ready to help the French government fight this evil until it is defeated.”

Israeli President Reuven Rivlin sent a letter of condolence to President Francois Hollande of France.

President Rivlin wrote, “It is with pain and sorrow that I must once again write and express my deepest condolences, and those of all the Israeli people, following the horrific terror attack in Nice.

“La Fête Nationale, France’s national celebration marks the beginning of the French Revolution, an event crucial to European and world history and the rise of the modern values which today we all hold dear; liberty, equality, and democracy. The vile threat of terrorism is an affront to these values, and its perpetrators murder and maim indiscriminately in pursuit of their barbaric ideology of hate.

“Israel stands with France and the Israeli people stand with the French people, shoulder to shoulder in the face of this terrible evil, as should the whole free world. We must work united to reach the terrorists, their supporters and backers, wherever they may hide. We will never give up. As you said, we are stronger than the fanatics who seek to harm us.”

He concluded, “Please convey our deepest sympathies to the families of those killed, and know that we pray for a speedy recovery for all the injured.”

The Israel’s Ninth President Shimon Peres has condemned the Nice attack and said: “Yesterday a horrific and unforgiving terrorist attack took place in France. Small children and innocent civilians were taken from us through acts of pure hate and terror.

World leaders must uncompromisingly cooperate to fight against global terror that is affecting us all.

Israel sends France its deepest condolences, stand united with our French friends in this difficult time and wish the injured a speedy and complete recovery.”

The Australia/Israel & Jewish Affairs Council (AIJAC) extends deepest sympathies to the nation of France and to all those who lost families and friends in the monstrous attack in Nice.

National Chairman Mark Leibler,  executive director Dr Colin Rubenstein and  Director International & Community Affairs Jeremy Jones said : “We pray for a speedy recovery to all those injured and so deeply impacted by this repugnant desecration of all which is human.

It is difficult to express our outrage, shock and revulsion at the barbaric attack, which at this early stage bears all the hallmarks of terrorism.

We wish the French authorities every success in their efforts to determine whether the murderer had accomplices and, if so, to apprehend them.

May we soon see an end to such horrors.”

Dr. Dvir Abramovich, Chairman of the ADC, and Morris Tobias, President of B’nai B’rith Australia-New Zealand said: “We decry this reprehensible and barbaric terrorist attack in the strongest possible terms. Our heartfelt thoughts, sympathies and prayers are with the families and loved ones of the victims, and we and wish the wounded a full and speed recovery.

During this dark period of national grief and mourning, we stand in solidarity with the French people and government as they come to terms with this traumatic and heartbreaking tragedy. It is our hope that those who aided in the planning and in the carrying out of this brutal and wanton assault are swiftly brought to justice. This latest episode of barbarism and depravity is a stark reminder that no one is safe until the evil of terrorism and radicalism is defeated. It is the responsibility of the international community to unite in the battle against global terrorism that threatens our shared values as well as international security and peace.”

Ties between Russian and Israel mustn’t be looked at through rose-colored glasses, but there is no doubt that this is an historic time for Russia and the Jewish people, one that is mutually beneficial for both sides.

Pathetic – complete avoidance of words like MUSLIMS or ISLAM.

The is just like the pre WWII Jews who refused to recognise the threat of Nazism 9with which Islam shares many features).

ONE country – ANY country – NEEDS TO START PUTTING
