World Jewish Congress (WJC) President Ronald S. Lauder has condemned the terrorist attack at a concert in Manchester, England on Monday night as “despicable and horrendous.” Police confirmed on Tuesday that the attack was carried out by a lone suicide bomber who was carrying “an improvised explosive device”.

Eight-year-old Saffie Rose Rousso was killed

Lauder declared: “Last night, at least 22 concert goers were murdered by a suicide bomber. We mourn the victims of this carnage, and our hearts go out to the many injured, to the families who lost love ones in this sickening act of terrorism, and to the British people.

“The world stands united in its resolve to confront and defeat the scourge of terrorism. Our liberties and our way of life shall triumph,” said Lauder.

In Australia the B’nai B’rith Anti-Defamation Commission Dvir Abramovich has expressed its horror and shock at the terrorist attack at Manchester that claimed the lives of 22 people, and injured 59. According to police, the bombing was carried out by a man deploying an explosive device, which was detonated as the audience was leaving an Ariana Grande concert.

Dr Dvir Abramovich, Chairman of the ADC, issued the following statement saying: “We condemn in the strongest terms this barbaric crime in Manchester and are deeply saddened by this senseless act of depravity. This brutality is beyond comprehension and there are no words to describe how heartbroken and outraged we are. There can be nothing more heinous and cowardly than the targeting and murder young people.

We offer our sincerest condolences to the families of the victims and pray for the full and speedy recovery of the wounded. This latest episode of barbarism, reminds us once again, that these evil terrorists have no bounds in their bloodlust. The international community must prevail in the concerted, sustained fight against violent extremism so as to ensure that the lives of all citizens are protected, and that our shared values of democracy and freedom are secure. It is our hope that the perpetrators and planners of this brutal and wanton assault are swiftly brought to justice. The ADC stands in solidarity with the people of Manchester and England.”

One Response to “World Jewish Congress condemns Manchester terror attack”
  1. Roy Sims says:

It is an extremely natural reaction of logical life-loving people to be absolutely horrified at the murder of so many innocent civilians in Manchester. The overwhelming majority of the worlds population are appalled.
Where is the condemnation from the leading members of the ‘peace loving’ religion called Islam? Where is the response to President Trump’s call in Saudi Arabia to Arab nations to deal with the “Islamic” problem of ‘terrorism’ which would be better known as ‘murder’ of civilians?
Islam, as it is projected to the world by this barbarism in Manchester, is an ongoing threat to humanity. Our ‘politically correct’ blind as a bat politicians would do well to recognize what it represents before we have to mourn for young Australians as the Brits are doing at the moment for their young people.
    Shame Islam, shame!!!
