With six sitting Liberals recontesting the September election and six new candidates with great ideas and energy, the Liberals believe they bring a quality team of experience and enthusiasm.

The recontesting councillors are Mayor Sally Betts, Deputy Mayor Tony Kay ,Cr. Leon Goltsman, Cr.  Angela Burrill, Cr.Andrew Cusack and Cr. Bill Mouroukas.

Our two new No 2 candidates are Will Nemesh, in Hunter Ward and Lynda Hall in Bondi Ward. Will is currently the Jewish Community Engagement Manager for the NSW Jewish Board of Deputies and  Lynda does volunteer work at City Care in Waterloo.

The Liberals are very proud of their achievements over the past five years, posting a surplus every year since taking over from Labor’s deficit, whilst at the same time continuing to reduce the backlog in infrastructure that we inherited in 2008. Additionally we have built children’s playgrounds, synthetic playing fields and multipurpose courts, plus provided more parking and an increase in the stock of affordable housing. Roads and parks are looking better than ever and our Arts and Cultural community programs have increased dramatically. We are confident that after taking into consideration community concerns and updating the plans for the Bondi Pavilion, that the building will at long last be given the renovations it deserves and we will all be able to be proud of it again.

Incumbent mayor Sally Betts said: “Voting for the liberals delivers stability, prudent financial management and strong leadership.”

Daniel Amzallag who is the No 3 in Hunter Ward is also Jewish
