Vicious mail for letter writer

Chris Townley is a frequently-published letter writer in Queensland papers…but he is scratching his head  wondering what precipitated hate mail he received this week. Opening a letter postmarked Northgate Mail Centre in Brisbane, he was outraged to find in it a flyer headlined “Was There Really a Holocaust”.

Townley told J-Wire: “I have no idea why I was singled out for this disgusting flyer. I don’t know anyone else in my area who received it. I can only assume I have been targeted for something I wrote to one of the newspapers as the letter was addressed  to me personally.”

The flyer does not bear an organisational name… only an address in the United States. Townley added: “Their anonymity is typical of these cowardly bastards. They are vilifying people and, if found, should be dealt with under the Racial Discrimination Act.”

    Hi Henry

Ask the Bnai Brith ADC about this. When I worked there we got complaints from people who had letters published in metropolitan dailies. There is a lone wolf racist in QLD who uses the electoral rolls to find out the contact details of letter writers, and he then sends them anonymous racist materials.

    Cheers
