Vlodymir Groysman, 38, replaces Yatsenyuk, who has been condemned by Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko for losing the public’s trust. Ukrainian lawmakers voted 257-50 to approve Groysman’s appointment and to accept Yatsenyuk’s resignation.

“I understand that we are in extremely difficult condition, that the government has a huge responsibility and the challenges it faces are simply enormous,” Groysman said Wednesday regarding Ukraine’s ongoing conflict with Russia and its financial crisis, the Interfax news agency reported. “I also know that with Ukrainian citizens’ support, we’ll strive to end the crisis.”

While he was the mayor of Vinnytsia, Groysman is said to have transformed the town for the better. “Together, we will make Ukraine successful,” he said after his confirmation as prime minister.

I never thought that such a thing could happen. A Jewish man , Vlodymir Groysman to become Prime Minister of Ukraine- previously the epicenter not only of antisemitism but extermination of its Jewish population.

Now and then there is news that not everything is bleak and hopeless. This
event has the result of lifting our spirit. May there be more good news.

Harry, don’t cheer too soon. Whenever Jews have risen to any position of prominence in countries soaked with Jew hatred the end results have been anything but good news. The usual scenario is that sooner rather than later his failure to pull Ukraine out of the economic mire and end the Russian problem means that he will be blamed for hardships and failures. As we know only too well from past experiences dissatisfaction will then transfer to the remaining Jews and Ukrainian Judeophobia will run riot. I suspect that a Jewish PM of Ukraine may not be good news for the Jews!!
