Two prominent young Jewish actors feature in the upcoming sexy, black comedy “That Pretty Pretty; or, The Rape Play” by Sheila Callaghan.

Katherine Beck

Netta Yaschin

Katherine Beck – born and raised in the heart of Chicago’s Jewish community and now married with family in Sydney – stars as Val in the debut production for Workhorse Theatre Company at the Tap Gallery in Darlinghurst from 7 February. Directing is high profile Israeli actor/director Netta Yashchin. A pair of radical feminist ex-strippers go on a murderous rampage…  “Guns, gals, jelly-wrestling, war… and lots of profanity.” It’s a powerful and darkly funny play that subverts stage conventions and in the playwright’s own words “finds the joy within the anger.”
