Training future leaders

Yeshiva College Bondi has come in first place in an international competition in which over 50 Chabad Schools measured Jewish Children’s ability to engage with the broader community during the High Holiday season.

The school had also been placed in second place in a world-wide Tehillim competition which was also held over Yom Tov.

Five of the year 9 boys Studied and memorised 20 Folios of Talmud, a remarkable achievement this earned them a trip to NY for Rosh Hashanah –

While we are very focused on Jewish life we are also very proud of student’s achievement in secular studies, as is evident from the NAPLAN exams, where our school achieved some remarkable results.

  • In Years 3, 5 and 7, 100% of students were at or above the National Minimum Standards in all areas (Reading, Writing, Spelling, Grammar and Punctuation and Numeracy).

 

  • In Year 9, 100% of students were at or above the National Minimum Standards in Reading, Grammar and Punctuation and Numeracy

The principal Dr David McGregor said: “These results are very impressive and reflect the superb efforts of the staff and students at Yeshiva College Bondi. Next year the school is moving over to the online format for NAPLAN and we hope that we can build on this and achieve more impressive results in the future.”

Sydney can be very proud to be leading the world in training young men and women to become some of the future leaders of the next generation.

College benefactor Harry Triguboff added: “We are proud to invest in educating future leaders, as a community is only as good as its leadership.”
