A group supporting a boycott of Israeli-made goods promoted a walking tour of  Sydney’s CBD retailers on the weekend based on the theme “Don’t buy Israeli apartheid for Christmas”.

Shirlee Finn was there and reports:

City call for boycott

“I braved it today and went to the City, to watch the performance of the ‘Palestine Action Group Sydney’, which according to their Facebook page, had 90 people attending. Their last event had an acceptance of 386 and only around the 100 showed up.

On Saturday the grand total was 13.

I waited and waited for people to arrive, but they didn’t come. The latest troublemaker on the block was frantically using his phone. I presumed he was calling his mates!! A couple of hi-jabbed girls arrived soon afterwards. The 13 included the usual motley crowd, most of whom I know by name.

A Westfield security staff member pointed out one woman telling me that she is a well-known trouble maker who hangs around the Mall frequently hassling people and handing out leaflets.

Pitt Street Mall was very busy and not one person stopped. I saw quite a few people who were annoyed at being hassled and a couple of them also arguing with them. I also heard a few complaints about foreign flags being flown in Australia and see these BDS actions as a foreign issue as having no place in this country. It seems that people are fast losing interest in these demonstrations.

The walking tour was a  complete flop.”

Well, that’s good news for once. Thanks for your efforts and your posting, Shirlee.

Yes, it is encouraging to see that these fools and jihad groupies are having difficulty ginning up much in the way of Jew-hatred amongst the general public in Australia.

    Shirlee,

Good to know that the public were generally not interested in what these BDS goons had to say.

At our Melbourne counter rally on Friday, I spoke to several policemen, who assured me that most
people didn’t take these Israeli apartheid mobsters seriously. I replied that while that might be true, if theirs was the only voice heard in public, it might be assumed that there is no alternative voice.

That’s why I believe it’s important for all good people to go out in the street and try to inform the public, in a civilised way (ie. not by shrieking through megaphones and banging drums, as our opponents did on Friday!) what the facts are.

If the truth isn’t put out there, the only discourse heard is that of the mendacious propagandists.
