A swastika has been painted on an office building in the centre South Queensland city of Nambour. The Sunshine Coast Daily has reported a woman who had been upset by the symbol and had reported the nazi slogan to local police. The paper reported the woman who declined to be named but claimed she has Jewish relatives.

Jason Steinberg

The paper published a photo of the swastika saying that it had digitally covered up a slogan.

President of the Queensland Jewish Board of Deputies Jason Steinberg told J-Wire: “It is deplorable that this symbol of hate, destruction, slaughter and evil can still appear in today’s world and people think it’s ok.

The Queensland community, not just the Jewish community, should find this abhorrent.

People living on the Sunshine Coast don’t need to see this swastika displayed from a window.

It should be removed immediately.
