The New Sanctuary of Sydney’s Emanuel Synagogue was packed at the opening night performance of Sydney Sacred Music Festival.

The audience was captivated by the performance as 12 amazing musicians from a wide variety of cultures joined together to present a moving and riveting concert.
For this special occasion, Cantor George Mordecai joined with the Orchestra to present a performance of Shema Koli and Ya Shema Evyonecha using a haunting melody sung by Iraqi Jewish communities throughout the world.
