Prominent Queen’s Counsel Mr Robert Richter QC, one of the highest profile lawyers in Australia has addressed the Chabad of Melbourne CBD Purim event.

Rabbi Chaim Herzog summarised the story of Purim and its importance to the Jewish people and introduced the guest speaker Richter who was the former Chairman of the Criminal Bar Association and a past President of the Victorian Council for Civil Liberties.

The Megillah was read for everyone by a student from Yeshivah Gedolah and then the program culminated with dancing.
This was the 18th year that Chabad of the Central Business District has held its annual downtown Purim festivities.
