More than 90 guests gathered for the inaugural Montefiore Student Volunteer Awards.
Many proud parents attended with their children, as 15 dedicated teens from local public, private and Jewish dayschools received awards for selfless service to the community.
Student Stella Burgess of SCEGGS Darlinghurst performed for the audience, while Randwick Girls High students Anna Coutts-Trotter and Nicole Armstrong spoke about how spending time with older members of the community has enriched their lives.
William Nemesh of the NSW Jewish Board of Deputies gave a keynote address, while all the award winners received pins, which they can display proudly on their uniforms to reflect their special relationship with Montefiore.
