Professor Karabus, a pediatric oncologist, faced a manslaughter charge following the death of a 4-yr-old child he had been treating for Leukemia in Abu Dhabi in 2002.

A family member told J-Wire: “He was released on Sunday night to stay at a colleague’s flat. He is free to move around the UAE but cannot leave as his passport has been confiscated.

The court appointed a medical panel to review the patients file and have also agreed to allow the defence to see the file

The next court date is 20 Nov.

It is by no means over yet but this is a welcome relief for now!”

Professor Karabus had been attending his son’s wedding in Canada and had over nighted in Dubai on his way home to South Africa.

Yeh not surprising I wouldn’t like to be a Jew under house arrest in some Arab theifdom.

You know what they say about playing with fire. I don’t want to hear any more whinging Jews going to Dubai complaining when they get taken aside at the airport …and some one says ” come with me “

Just remember: Qantas has become one of the many “wives” of “The Emirates”, and you know how much rights women have in that corner of ideology. So, fly Qantas at your own risk.
