Police cooking not booking
More than 35 members of the NSW police force followed up an educational visit to the Sydney Jewish Museum with a cook-in at the Chabad’s Our Big Kitchen in Bondi.

At the museum, the police learned about the hardships which confronted the Jewish people in recent history but in Our Big Kitchen they learned how the community cooked its way into playing an integral part in the wider community.
OBK CEO Rabbi Dovid Slavin explained how food produced at OBK not only went to the needy but also found its way into supplying much needed food for State Emergency Services workers during times of crisis and had even graced the tables of Australian troops in Afghanistan.
Rabbi Slavin told J-Wire: “The police came from all over Sydney and included some high-ranking officers. They were especially interested in our work with correctional services where some prisoners carry out their community work in the kitchen.”
