Israeli tennis star Shahar Peer has been bundled out of the Australia Women’s Open in Melbourne.

The 22-yr-old 29th seed fell to a dominating performance by Dane Caroline Wozniaki last night. The number four seed beat the Israeli 6-4, 6-0 in the third round. Appearing the more aggressive of the two, Peer put up a wonderful show in the first set but in the end was simply outclassed by the fast moving Dane.

In the meantime, Sean Berman, a 17-yr-old rising star from Melbourne takes his place on  court today against Kiwi Sebastian Lavie in his first round Junior Boys’ Singles match. Berman has been playing tennis since he was three moving to Australia from his native Johannesburg last year.
