Palwatch terminated by YouTube
YouTube has “terminated” Israel’s Palestinian Media Watch‘s account for violating their “terms of service,” which includes hate speech following its release of a video on Thursday in which a Palestinian girl read a poem on official PA TV calling for “war that will smash the oppressor and destroy the Zionist’s soul,”
Itamar Marcus said: “We urge anyone with contacts at Google or YouTube to contact them and request that PMW’s account be reinstated. Others can send a message to YouTube by clicking the “Send feedback” link at the bottom of YouTube’s homepage.
PMW is urging YouTube to immediately reinstate PMW’s account and all PMW videos, and is calling to our subscribers to help put pressure on Google.
President of the Zionist Federation of Australia Dr Danny Lamm told J-Wire: “I am shocked that YouTube administrators have shut down PMW’s channel, in what has been an obvious misunderstanding about PMW’s purpose. The irony is that by disabling the YouTube channel they have played right into the hands of the perpetrators of hate speech. In these difficult times, where terror reigns as a direct result of the videos PMW seeks to expose, I hope that this channel, which is an invaluable resource for the promulgation of accurate, first source information will be reinstated.
Now more than ever, social media is playing a major role in public opinion, and incitement to violence and hate speech is rife on platforms such as YouTube and Facebook. It is critical for it to be exposed by organisations such as PMW. It raises the question, why is the real hate speech still all over the internet?”
Dt Colin Rubenstein, the executive director of The Australia/Israel and Jewish Affairs Council added: “Palestinian Media Watch is an essential resource for all people serious about understanding obstacles to Israeli-Palestinian peace.
There can be no justification for censoring it under guidelines designed to discourage terrorism and extremism.
YouTube and Google must update their procedures to make sure this is rectified and does not recur. While material inciting racism and terrorism is tolerated far too often, it appears content reporting and documenting such incitement is being judged to be unacceptable – an absurd situation.”
I am surprised that you all have not figured out by now that most if not all of these so called news outlets are in fact quite anti semitic and anti Israel. Any criticism of Islam, the Palestinians, or anything to do with any Middle Eastern country with the exception of Israel will be censored, and if need be eliminated from public view.
Organizations like Facebook, and You Tube will promote all aspects of Nazism, yet will censor items that deal with the State of Israel. If you post items on these sites, including Yahoo, you just may get banned from posting anywhere from three days to an entire month. What happened to PMW is just par for the course.
Par for the course has been well and truly broken with the news that Palwatch’s account has been reinstated by You Tube

I suggest people contact (email/tweet to) Susan Wojcicki, the CEO of Youtube.
I work on Google Gmail support. Not a Google employee.
But I can tell you that I have never heard of an account being reinstated for the reasons Google have given.
There normally is an appeal process given in the notification from Google and PalmWatch would need to follow this. Frankly, I don’t fancy their chances.
Seems you have been proved wrong.
You Tube has now reinstated Palwatch’ account

Just shows what happens when the public gets involved to right a horrible wrong.
Thanks JWire for bringing You Tube’s shabby treatment of Palwatch to our attention.
Seems I am wrong here.
However this is a must unusual step by Google.
One to be applauded of course.
Outrageous.
I have sent You Tube the following objection:
“I understand YouTube has “terminated” Israel’s Palestinian Media Watch‘s (PMW) account for violating their “terms of service,” which includes hate speech following its release of a video on Thursday in which a Palestinian girl read a poem on official PA TV calling for “war that will smash the oppressor and destroy the Zionist’s soul,”
I respectfully request the service be re-instated immediately.
The hate speech was not generated by PMW but by official PA TV which PMW had every right to report on and disseminate.
Your action is preventing the dissemination of such news is a blatant violation of the public’s right to know and be informed.
Following on the Turkish Government taking over Turkey’s main newspaper – your action is alarming and will lose you lots of support.
Please rethink and reinstate PMW immediately.”
I hope your readers will also take the time to similarly notify You Tube.
Palwatch seems healthy to me. Please explain why you believe it to have been censored.
The web site has not been shut down. Their YouTube account has
