Former Neighbours actress, Xonia, has been criticised for posing in a highly suggestive manner at the Holocaust Memorial in Bucharest according to The Sun, UK.

Australia- born Xonia holds dual citizenship with both parents hailing from Romania.

The Holocaust Memorial in Bucharest was inaugurated in 2009 to commemorate the nearly 300,000 Jews killed in the Romanian Holocaust between 1937 and 1944.

Any commercial activity at the Bucharest Holocaust Memorial, including photography and filming, is supposed to be approved by the Ellie Wiesel Institute for the Study of Holocaust in Romania

“We will analyse the situation to establish what exactly happened” said Elisabeth Ungureanu, Head of Communication for the Institute.

The sometime actress posted the photographs of herself in hot pants, a low-cut top and thigh high boots on social media.   While not all her followers approve, Xonia (real name Loredana Sachelaru) has yet to answer her critics for her choice of setting for the provocative photographs.

Well, you’ve heard of her now, Adrian, and the disgraceful inappropriateness of her posturing is exposed, as it should be. If there was enough backlash against it, she might learn something. That’s where the publicity could do good. In the meantime, what you have to say in regard to it as far as memorials to the dead in public places are concerned is also inappropriate for its banality.

  2. Adrian Jackson says:

Memorials to the dead in public places are likely to attract visitors and photos (eg) Lenin’s tomb in Moscow, USS Arizonan battleship memorial in Hawaii and The Shrine of Remembrance in Melbourne.

If anything even this story has given the actress more publicity as I dont watch Neighbours and I have never heard of Xiona.
