Yom Hazikaron in Sydney
More than 300 members of Sydney Jewish youth groups last night packed the NSW HQ of the National Council of Jewish Women to remember those who have fallen in the Israeli Defence Force and as victims of terrorism.
Members of the city’s Bnai Akiva, Netzer, Betar and Hineni youth groups recited special prayers and watched movies signifying the occasion.
Anat Baruch, the Netzer Shaliach who hails from Haifa told J-Wire: “A highlight of the evening was a group of Israelis who instigated a singalong. It made us feel so much at home.”
